$1,000 Reservation Boundary Sign Contest Extended

LCO TGB

Press Release

The Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Governing Board is announcing the LCO Reservation Boundary Sign Design Contest has been extended. The contest is open to all Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Member Artists and entries will now be accepted until Friday, March 18, 2022. We received three (3) beautiful designs/entries from the first announcement, and these will be included in the voting display; however we want our membership to have a larger selection to choose from.

Reservation Boundary signs exemplify our community identity and represents a first impression to all visitors that enter the LCO Reservation. LCO Artist designs should create a valuable content that promotes positive first impressions and incorporates our “Pride of the Ojibwe” logo. Please submit your design work to Terri Miller, LCO Tribal Council Administrative Assistant at the LCO Tribal Office.

Beginning Tuesday, March 22, all entries will be displayed in the Tribal Office Lobby, and displayed through Monday, March 28, along with ballots to vote on your favorite--one vote per Tribal Member throughout the entire duration of the display. Votes will be tallied on Tuesday, March 29, and the winner announced thereafter.

Artists are allowed to submit two entries. Please include your name, tribal ID #, address, phone number, and email address (if you have one) by close of business Friday, March 18, 2022. The winning entry will receive $1,000.

Two of our current Reservation signs that will be replaced are below.
