The Tribe has recently purchased a 28-foot food truck to expand our business operations at the Big Fish Golf Course and increase revenue opportunities for our enterprise. Big Fish Golf will be paying the Tribe back for the cost of $52,000 for the truck and a 12" food trailer unit at an amount of $3,000 per month, with hopes of paying it off in full at the end of the summer.
This food truck will be stationed primarily at the Hayward Fishing Hall of Fame parking lot, a prime location that attracts thousands of visitors throughout the summer. As this land is tribally owned, it allows us to operate efficiently while maximizing profits.
The food trailer will be used at the golf course to increase quick sale food items for golf course customers.
Financial Projections
Operating the food truck five days per week throughout the summer is expected to generate approximately $100,000 in revenues. Additional earnings will come from bringing the truck to major local events such as Musky Fest and the Honor the Earth Powwow, further increasing its financial impact.
Projected profit margins indicate that the food truck should generate at least $75,000 in profits over the summer season. This estimate accounts for operating expenses, including food costs, staffing, and maintenance.
Marketing & Tribal Business Promotion
The food truck will prominently display large Dye Hards and Big Fish logos, serving as a mobile advertisement for our golf course and restaurant. This strategic branding will help drive traffic to our existing businesses.
Additionally, every customer purchasing from the food truck will receive a coupon sheet promoting other tribal enterprises. These coupons may include:
· Gas discounts at tribal gas stations
· Grocery savings at our tribal store
· Dining or activity discounts at The Landing
This initiative not only increases sales at the food truck but also encourages visitors to explore and support a variety of tribal businesses.
Conclusion The purchase and operation of this food truck represent a strong investment in tribal economic development. With a prime location, strategic event participation, and cross-promotion of tribal enterprises, this venture is expected to yield substantial financial benefits while enhancing the visibility of our businesses. We look forward to a successful and profitable summer season.
