Cash or Cans: “Drive-through” Food Drive to be Held in Radisson, LCO, and Hayward

A Cash or Cans: “Drive-through” Food Drive for the Radisson/Winter, LCO, and Hayward communities is set for Saturday, October 9 from 11:00 to 1p.m. This DRIVE-THROUGH event provides for safe and accessible participation to make donations of cash or cans of non-perishable food to be distributed in the community.


The Democratic Party of Sawyer County and LCO will staff these THREE different drive-through locations. In Radisson volunteers will be in the “UTV” parking lot at the intersection of State Highways 70 and 40 and County Highway H. In LCO, volunteers with be at the intersection of County Highways B and K in Koobies Coffee Shop parking lot, next to the Lac Courte Oreilles Federal Credit Union. In Hayward, volunteers will be at Intersection of Hwys 63 and 27 South Public Parking Lot next to the Chamber of Commerce.


Organizers encourage participants to "Stay in your car. A volunteer will collect your donations, touch-free." Volunteers will follow CDC Covid-19 protocols.


All cash and canned good contributions from Radisson will be donated to the Winter Harvest of Friends Food Pantry, from LCO will be donated to Circle Free Store, and from Hayward will be donated to the Hayward Community Food Shelf.


This community service event is designed to be simple and impactful. This food and cash fundraiser will provide much needed support to local organizations that assist local residents who struggle with ongoing food insecurity for themselves and their families.


Everyone can support this event. If you cannot “drive-through” please donate directly to Sawyer County Senior Resource Center-Meals On Wheels Program, Hayward Community Food Shelf on HWY 63, Winter Harvest of Friends Food Pantry, Circle Free Store, and/or other food shelves that serve your neighbors.
