College of Menominee Nation To Hold Women's Empowerment Summit

Keshena,WI - On Saturday, October16, 2021, the College of Menominee Nation’s Sustainable Development Institute will be holding its first ever Women’s Empowerment Summit and Training (W.E.S.T.). This free event will be a day full of wellness sessions, relaxation training, and local vendors. There will be multiple breakout sessions featuring topics like financial planning, MMIW, LGTBQ Awareness, and beading. The event will feature keynote speeches from Menominee Tribal Legislator Rachel Fernandez, Professor of Music at Edgewood College Dr. Beatriz Aguilar, and President of the Stockbridge-Munsee Tribe Shannon Holsey. We will also have gift baskets, gift bags, raffles, and music. Come join us from 8AM to 4PM at the Menominee Casino Resort’s conference hall. The event is open to women in the surrounding communities, ages 16 and older. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
