Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa Community College 2019 Career Fair is a collaborative effort between the College’s Work Based Learning Program and LCO Vocational Rehabilitation Program. Together we’ve been hosting this event for more than 5 years, however, the Work Based Learning Program has hosted a Career Fair for more than 12 years.
This event has evolved into the spectacular Career Fair that we have today! This year’s event had 44 Employers and over 180 people in attendance. High Schools represented included LCO High School, Hayward High School, Northern Waters Environmental School, and Northwood’s Mennonite School. The Career Fair is a great way for people to network with businesses with whom they may be interested pursuing a career. Many employers were here to network with and hire potential employees.
Represented employers included Americorps – WI, AVON, Care Partners Nursing Home, Caribou Thunder (CTL Resources), Co-Op Pharmacy, Dollar General, GLIFWC, H&R Block, LCO Conservation Department, LCO Development, LCO Environmental Charter School, LCO FCU, LCO Financial Services, LCO Fire Department, LCO Head Start, LCO Higher Education, LCO Human Resources, LCO PD, LCO Vocational Rehabilitation & WI DVR, LCOOCC College Farm, Market Place Foods/Caribou Coffee, Maurice’s, Mino Maajisawin, Namekagen Transit, Natural Resource Conservation Service, North Country Independent Living, Northern Lakes Community Clinic, Northwest Family Connections, Pathways- National Parks Services, Sawyer County Health & Human Services, Walgreens Pharmacy, Wi- Conservation Voters, Northwest Wisconsin CEP, Wisconsin Tribal Conservation Advisory Council, Century Link, Hayward Area Memorial Hospital & Water's Edge, Big Fish, Sevenwinds Casino, and Oakwood Haven.
