“After nearly three years of patience and anticipation, we are excited to announce the Re-Grand Opening date for Grindstone Creek Casino of Friday, March 10th, 2023, at noon!”

The Grindstone Creek Casino was closed when the Covid-19 Pandemic hit, and in the following year, the LCO Tribal Governing Board (TGB) approved designating several million dollars from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to do a total upgrade of the facility, and that included some upgrades to the LCO Country Store as well. Both enterprises are located in the LCO Commercial Center in the heart of the LCO Reservation, at the corners of Hwy K and E.

According to Patrick Martinson, Marketing Director of Sevenwinds Casino, the new casino has increased their number of gaming machines.

“We have a Café (named later) and the menu items are being implemented over time,” Martinson noted. “The entire building being re-done is noteworthy. We do want people to stop in and see all the improvements.”

Martinson said Grindstone Creek will also be a non-smoking facility. The hours of operation will be Wednesday through Sunday from Noon to 8:00 pm.

The schedule of events for the Friday Re-Grand Opening:

11:30 AM – Honor song and invocation.

11:59 AM – Ribbon Cutting at East exterior entrance.

12:00 PM – Doors open with refreshments, snacks, and barrel drawing entries (one entry per person).

1:00 PM to 3:00 PM – 7x XP Multiplier (after earning 10XP).

1:00 PM to 6:00 PM – XL Hotseats (7 winners of 17xl every half hour).

2:00 PM to 5:00 PM – 10 XP slot picks game awarding up to 77 Xtra Lives.

2:00 PM to 6:00 PM – $500 cash and 17 XL Barrel Drawings hourly ($1,000 cash and 17 XL @ 6:00 PM)

5:00 PM to 7:00 PM – 7x XP Multiplier (after earning 10XP).

“We appreciate your support throughout this venture and are eager to hear any feedback you may have. We are dedicated to being the premier guest experience destination in the Midwest,” stated Martinson.

As far as the LCO Country Store, Dawn Quaderer, the store manager said upgrades there include new freezers, meat cooler, produce cooler, and dairy cooler, as well as new flooring. She said they are currently painting too.

“Since this is being done, we will be having Mason Brothers, where we get our groceries from, do a reset on the aisles and that won’t happen till mid-April,” Quaderer stated. She added, after that is completed, the store will also be having a special event, a grand re-opening.
