Covid-19 School Closure Updates

March 30th, 2020

As you are probably already aware, the Governor of Wisconsin has extended the school closures in the state to April 24th, 2020. This closure includes the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School. We will continue to follow the requirements of the state and tribe in determining when to reopen. Some important updates include:

  • Teaching staff members are working to create virtual learning options for students as well as paper packets. We are hoping to have a drive up date for pick up late next week (tentatively April 9th or 10th) but are waiting for confirmation of the date. Please watch for announcements on our Facebook page as well as through the automated call system.

  • Weekly meal deliveries will continue to take place every Tuesday for the duration of the school closure.

  • The school building remains closed other than essential access for meal preparation and teacher preparation of packets. This closure does include the playgrounds as well unfortunately.
