LCO Ojibwe School Parents Asked to Take a Survey

Updated: Jul 1, 2020

Dear Parents and Families of the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School,

I hope this letter finds you and your family safe and healthy. I understand the stress and anxiety that many in our community are facing due to the hardships and uncertainty that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused.

I want to assure you that our staff are working hard to create a plan that allows your child to safely resume his or her education this coming school year. Work is being drafted to prepare for a variety of options in consultation with local, state and tribal health departments as well as the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, but we need your help above all.

In order to create a plan that continues to provide a high quality of education while meeting the needs of individual students and families, we are creating a Parent Survey that we will be distributing before the 4th of July holiday. The survey is available in hard copy at the school and tribal office as well as our Facebook page and website.  The survey will be available until June 10th. Parents of students currently attending Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School/Waadookodaading or those that plan to transfer are asked to complete the survey before July 10th.

As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.

Stay safe,

Jessica Hutchison

K-12 Principal/Superintendent Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School

Note: Keep an eye out for the upcoming post with a link to the survey.
