LCO Ojibwe School Recognizes Employee Awards at School Powwow

The LCO Ojibwe School recognized employees in a few certain categories at their March school powwow last week. Categories included the Above and Beyond Employee Award, Top Branch Teacher Award, and the Breakfast Hero Award for Kitchen Staff.


The Above and Beyond Employee Award is given to an employee that goes above and beyond, is reliable and responsible, has a positive attitude, communicates respectfully and can be counted on to be a problem solver and helping hand. The award was presented to Kathleen Lasciewicz, special education paraprofessional, Lora Edley, office manager/high school reception, and Renfro Carley, IT Director.


The Top Branch Teacher Award is given to an employee who is a person that builds and maintains relationships with students (walking the halls, going to games/activities, participation and engagement), demonstrates consistency (attendance, response to behaviors, parent communication), maintains a positive attitude, works to involve themselves and students in Ojibwe language, culture, history and traditions, and can be counted on to share innovative ideas in collaboration with colleagues. The award was presented to Lynn Burnette, Middle School Math, Marylou Taylor, 3rd Grade, and Brooke Simon, Waadookodaading 1st grade.


The Breakfast Hero Award to the Kitchen Staff with special recognition awarded to Ronda Trepania.
